The top surface of Surfwave features an arrangement of colorful stained and natural wooden rails, reminiscent of the vibrant artwork found on classic surfboards. These rails are mounted on a solid wood base frame, providing stability and durability.

One of the standout features of Surfwave is its protection against UV and moisture. The bench is coated with epoxy resin, ensuring that it can withstand outdoor conditions without losing its vibrant colors or structural integrity.

The realization of Surfwave involves the use of solid ash wood for both the top surface and the base frame. The wood is stained and sealed with epoxy resin, creating a smooth and visually appealing finish.

With dimensions of 180 mm x 50 mm x 45 mm, Surfwave is designed to be a comfortable and functional outdoor seating option. Its freestanding nature allows it to be placed in various outdoor settings, providing a fresh and stylish addition to any space.

The initial version of Surfwave was designed and developed in 2014 for a private customer in the Caribbean. Since then, it has garnered attention for its unique design and innovative use of materials.

Valeriano Villegas Goyos, the designer behind Surfwave, aimed to create a freestanding outdoor bench that captures the essence of the iconic squared nose surfboards. The combination of simple shapes, vivid colors, and durable materials makes Surfwave a standout piece of furniture.
